Mechanical Designer/Drafter
The Robotics and Mechatronics Laboratory at the George Washington University in Washington DC is developing novel and compact mobile robotic platforms for various applications. We are looking for a talented and experienced mechanical designer/drafter, with multidisciplinary skills, who can work in a fast-paced environment, designing and drafting complex mechanical parts and assemblies for robotics and mechatronics projects.
Requirements include:
BS or AA in Mechanical Engineering or Design&Drafting
a minimum of 5 years of industrial experience utilizing SolidWorks (or possibly other CAD platforms)
expert knowledge of GD&T (Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing).
Experience should include:
design for manufacturability
precision part design
knowledge of kinematics.
This position also requires that you excel in and enjoy:

organization.
